General Contractor
Emerald Builders will orchestrate every aspect of your construction project from preliminary planning, construction and assembly, to hiring and coordination of subcontractors, to applying the finishing touches to your new home or renovation. Over the years we have built valuable relationships with experienced industry professionals. Working as a team helps ensure that our clients’ vision becomes reality.
New Construction
New construction requires great organization and planning. Our experience completing new construction projects helps us foresee potential problems and solve them before they become an issue. We use environmentally friendly and locally-sourced materials to construct our buildings. We give every project our fullest attention and take care of every detail along the way.
Remodeling – Renovation – Restoration
Whether it’s an interior renovation, restoring a historical building, or repairing a major failure in your building, we work to create detailed construction plans and timelines to get the job done and get our client’s lives back to normal as soon as possible. We are very sensitive to our customers’ needs while a major project is underway and work with you to figure out how to complete the project with the least disturbance.
Deep Energy Retrofits
We love old homes and buildings, but most do not meet modern standards for energy efficiency and airtightness. We specialize in restoring older structures to their previous glory while exponentially increasing their performance. We can take a conventionally-built home and turn it into a Net Zero energy home, or greatly increase the performance of a historical building – all while maintaining the integrity of the original design.
Timber Framing and Enclosure Systems
Emerald Builders offers timber framing and finishing options to our clients from whole-house frames to elegant structural details in our houses. We cut frames using traditional joinery and enclose them with energy efficient wall and roof systems yielding beautiful homes that are very easy to heat and cool. We have well-established systems to enclose, run utilities, and apply the finishing details to these structures.
